Top 10 Tips and Tricks for smooth NRI Darshan at Tirumala

Eligibility:

• Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) who’ve resided outside India for work, business, etc.
• Foreign nationals can also avail of this darshan.
• You must have arrived in India within the past 30 days.

Documents:

• Original Passport (with valid visa, if applicable)
• Proof of recent arrival in India (entry stamp on passport)
• NRI status proof (OCI card, residency documents – for NRIs only)

Booking:

• NRI Darshan bookings are NOT available online.
• Pay Rs. 300 directly at the Tirumala temple counter to obtain tickets upon arrival.

Timing:

• NRI Darshan reporting time is 11 AM. Be there at least one hour before to avoid the last-minute rush.
• Darshan timings are usually between 12 PM – 6 PM.

Dress Code:

• Strict adherence is mandatory
• Men: Dhoti/pyjama with shirt or kurta
• Women: Saree, half-saree, or salwar kameez with dupatta

Reaching Tirumala:

• Tirupati Airport: Taxis and buses available to Tirumala.
• Tirupati Railway Station: Frequent transportation to Tirumala.
• Road: Well-connected to major cities in nearby states.

Accommodation (if needed):

• Book TTD rooms in advance, especially during busy seasons. Check the TTD website for options and availability.

Darshan Process:

• Report at the Supatham Entry Point, located near the Vaikuntam Queue Complex, at 11 AM.
• Complete form filling, biometric registration, and security checks for NRI status verification.

Prasadam:

• You’ll receive one laddu as prasadam after darshan.
• Purchase additional laddus at the cost of Rs. 50 per laddu at designated counters.

Important Notes:

• Maintain utmost respect and decorum within the holy premises.
• Photography inside the main temple is strictly prohibited.
• TTD provides free meals, medical aid, and other facilities for pilgrims.
• Darshan through Supatham is currently not available (as of March 2024).
